The Hogs Keep Coming….

We have just received confirmation per that OL Sean Meehan from Wilmot, WI has verbally committed to the Fighting Sioux.  Meehan, a 6’6″ 290 lb OT, was a two-way First Team All-Southern Lakes performer this past year for the Panthers.  He was ranked the 8th best overall lineman in the state of Wisconsin by  Meehan also had another confirmed offer from NDSU and on-going interest from Western Michigan.

This is the 3rd OL commit for the Sioux early in this recruiting year.  These three guys – Anderson, Hellman and Meehan – combined with the solid prospects from last years class (Darren Peterson, Shea Walker, Dwayne Pecosky, Devin Barton) and the redshirt freshman who played this past season (Joe Kleason and Darren DeNeui) give the Sioux a deep, talented OL for the next 3-5 years.

Wilmot senior OL/DL Sean Meehan added an offer from North Dakota State recently to go along with a previous offer from North Dakota. He is hearing from several other schools including Western Michigan, Minnesota-Mankato, and several Division III schools and will likely make his decision very soon

Great news! A little slow on the 40 time, but I’m sure that will get reduced through training and if he’s not a pulling lineman it shouldn’t matter. He’ll get stronger as his time at UND goes on. I’m pretty happy with our recruiting thus far – now lets get some more skill position players!

we dont necessarily need great position players if we have an amazing line…anybody can run through gaps the size of texas.
