QB Kurt Palandech of Plainfield North High School in Plainfield, IL has committed to the UND Football program. Palandech, 6’2″-175, was an all-conference and all-area performer for the Tigers, which finished the season 7-3. Plainfield North is coached by Tim Kane.
Palandech is the definition of “dual-threat” QB. In his senior season he rushed for 684 yards and 7 TD’s, while throwing for 984 yards and 12 TD’s. He also had 3 INT’s on defense. Palandech runs in the 4.5-4.6 range for the 40 yard dash.
Palandech is the second QB commitment to the class of 2013, with Sam Riddle being the other. Palandech definitely bring athleticism to the position and reminds us of former UND QB Marcus Hendrickson when he runs the ball. If QB doesn’t work out he is a candidate to play another position, such as WR or S.

Marcus Hendrickson 2.0? Does he have that kind of arm strength?
He doesn’t have the arm strength of Marcus Hendrickson, very few do. But his speed will be comparable.
Yes, he has good arm strength and his speed is very underrated. Great competitor with a great attitude also.
So he can throw a 50 yard frozen rope or a 70+ yard bomb in the air?
