Marcus Cheatom – Brother Rice High School (Chicago, IL)

UND received a commitment from DL Marcus Cheatom of Brother Rice High School in Chicago, IL.  Cheatom, 6’1″-300, was an All-Catholic league performer for coach Brian Badke’s Crusaders, which finished the 2012 season with a 7-6 record.

Cheatom, who we project as a NG at North Dakota, missed part of the season with a knee injury but was still able to play enough to garner all-conference honors.  Cheatom appears to be built very similarily to current UND freshman NG Mike Edwards and will be provide some nice depth at the NG position.

Cheatom also competes in track, going 53′ in the shot put and 158′ in the discus.

This guy looks like a man-child in that photo. Film was also impressive. Kind of reminded me of Levon Perry from NDSU. Might end up being one of the better gets in this class when all is said and done.

This kid looks like a nice get. We now have two young nt that are built like a brick shit house and yet both have very light feet and unnatural quickness. This is huge for the defense and should make everyone else better.
