Fall Camp 2013

After what seemed like a never ending summer, we finally made it to August (well, almost) and what is annually the beginning of the college football season for all teams across the country.  The UND Football program is no different.

Players report to camp tomorrow, August 1st.  From there, it is usually a whole bunch of meetings, physicals, meetings, eating, and more meetings.  The first official practice is not until Saturday, August 3rd at 9:15am at Memorial Stadium.  Practices are open to public.

We have not heard of any late defections from the recruiting class or from the returning team members.  This information should come out Thursday or Friday when Coach Mussman addresses the media.  Getting their entire 2013 recruiting class on campus will be a huge deal as it was, without a doubt, the best class they have ever gotten since the move to D1, and probably ever.

UND’s first opponent, Valparaiso, was recently picked to finish 10th in the Pioneer League Preseason Poll.  Valpo was 1-10 last year in the PL.

UND’s second opponent, former NCC foe South Dakota State, was picked to finish 2nd in the Missouri Valley Preseason Poll.  SDSU is in the Top 10 of all FCS preseason polls.

Single Game Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Wednesday, August 1st at 10am.

The “30 minutes or Less” Season Ticket campaign kicks off today from 10am to 4pm.  You can read about how it works here.

Is JJ Robertson back in town?

From what we heard, he is not. Academic issues apparently. Judging from past history of other players I would say he will not be on the team for awhile at the very least.
