Greely was one of four players who committed to the previous regime. Much like Harris, he seemed to have his mind made up that he wanted to attend UND, no matter who the coach was. He has held true to his word and stuck with UND through the transition to Bubba Schweigert.
Greely is slated to be a defensive end in the UND’s 3-4 scheme. It doesn’t take long after watching a few plays to see he possesses a ton of talent and ability. Greely has been taught well as he shows good fundamentals when taking on pulling lineman and shedding blockers. Has a very high motor, he is always moving out there and doesn’t stop til the play is over. Greely has a big frame that should allow him to easily get up to 250 lb range. He should have the ability to make plays from the DE position, which has been lacking in the past couple of years for the UND defense. Greely also wrestled for the Trojans last winter so he knows how to use his leverage and hands.
Greely was an All-Conference, All-Metro First Team, and All-State Second Team performer for the Trojans, who finished the year 6-3 in what is regarded as arguably the toughest conference in Minnesota.
